GRIFFINS IN THE SINE WAVE

It is a computational exploration that bridges mythical chimeras with modern genetic theory. By placing the “Griffin”, a classic symbol of hybrids, and its wingless variant, the “Keythong”, into coding, the work reimagines the population dynamics through the infinity of time.

















Concept

In this digital ecosystem, the “Sine Wave” acts as a mathematical tide that determines the dominant genetic expression of the population. As the wave oscillates, the number of winged and wingless griffins will change but will never go extinct. 

This perpetual motion suggests a new form of digital ecosystem, the concept of "Survival of the Fittest" is replaced by a harmonic, mathematical balance. Within the sine wave, the dynamic succession of two kinds of griffins becomes fluid data in the passage of time. In this dimension, myth, genetics, and math merge into one, transforming abstract logic into a living computational design.
